Warning: This is not a How to blog post… This is random e-mails I receive last month … you can approve it disagree or both… Blogging is an open world… you can do whatever you want… There is no rule
In 2007, blogging become a little phenomenon and Blogs creation blow so hard and so fast. Everyone wants to share their feelings, skills and life. The real question is are you ready for it? Are you ready to be a blogger?
This is an essential list of a real blogger… if you don’t have one of this; maybe you are not ready to be a blogger:
If php, HTML and CSS sounds like a new animal species
This is an important part anyone should learn. If you want to maintain and push your blog to the next level, you should know some codes basis. I don’t say you must be a programmer but if you go in a new country you better know word in this language. The same thing goes with blogging you should learn some codes basis. Otherwise some small problems can become a hard task and stop your evolution to be a problogger.
If you don’t have a specific niche
They say you must have a specific niche to succeed….It can be true if you really master your domain and can bring a new light to the blogsphere. I think you can blog about anything at the same time but you will have to make it unique and talk to your own voice.
If you don’t have your own domain and be self hosted.
It is like any activities. If you want to dance you buy dance courses to be better. This is the same thing for blogging; if you want to be better you need the right tool. Having your own domain and be self host give you much room and more control to fulfill your dream and you imagination.
If you don’t have online blogger friends
Blogging is all about communication so you need feedback from online people. One of the best aspect of it, it is to be able to push something faster with a strong online network friends blogger. Like I always said, if you don’t have friend you won’t be able to go viral.
If you don’t make money online
This is an aspect I talk with my friend and I come to the conclusion that even if you don’t want to make money online you will have to think about it one day. Imagine you got this great content that’s goes viral and attract thousands of visitors. You can be happy of that but maybe your basic plan couldn’t be enough to welcome all this traffic. You are blogging to be seen so I guess it is normal to make sure your website can always load no matter the traffic number. All this lead me to tell you that vps hosting or dedicated server aren’t cheap at all so are you ready to welcome every visitor.
If you don’t have no plan
This is my last point. If you are no ready to add blogging in your schedule, you should stop it now. If you have no plan to make it live for more then 2 years, you should stop now… If you are not an organize person stop it now
That was my list of why you stop blogging… Feel free to comment on it or add your personal list.

Okay, yes, you are right in that html, css, and so on, enhance your ability to create your own page.
Who am i blogging for?
Me, I suppose.
But friends have come as a result of that.
I’m not private, part of the enjoyment is seeing how the random visitors find me. And why.
Yes, if I had thousands of visitors, maybe it would be a problem.
Being linked by BoingBoing or Growabrain might do that.
Just now it is not a problem.
Maybe in another year I might think differently.
I disagree with just about every point you make.
CSS, HTML, php, bah!
I should NOT need to know them, just as I don’t know perl, unix, cobol.
A good blog provider’s site should make knowledge of these unneccessary.
A niche? well why the hell should I?
Blogging is not a chore, nor for me in any way an economic necessity.
I post what I want, and I don’t care how many visitors I get. It’s nice to make new friends, which is what has happened.
I don’t have my own domain. So what? Why should that be a problem?
Blogger friends? Yes, I have some, I had none when I started.
But again, go viral?HA!
Don’t want to make money online?
Nope.
Not my intention at present. I despise ‘Bloggers’ who try to sell products.
They are spam online, bottom feeders of the internet. They stink.
Plan?
Why should a blogger have a plan.?
The whole point of blogging is that you do as you wish, staying or quitting, regular posts or occasional, it’s all your choice.
All your points are, to me, nonsense, and purely your own opinion.
I might add, if you are going to blog, you should, if blogging in english, take care to check that your use of english is literate.
You totally right but I have to explain each point:
HTML CSS etc you don’t need it at all but if you want to be unique you can do it by learning those codes. I don’t say be a programmer.
A niche… I don’t believe in that… I said you can blog about anything at the same time…
Friends!!! I think it is important otherwise why are you blogging for…
The making money online part if you put your blog public then maybe you should think about it if 12k visitors and your blog provider erase your blog because it generate too much traffic. If you really want to do a blog for fun then put it private and invite only the person you want in it.
And well those were my personal point of view … but thank you for your comment
I was thinking like soubriquet until my post hit digg’s front page !!!
I should learn more programing stuff
I think I will be a problogger soon

my personal secret will be reveal
Hi,
thanks alot. Will try to change a few things on adsense. I will also take the video idea and see if Im good at that.
Thanks and keep visiting!
Good at !?!? no just be you, that’s make the best video.. if people were looking for professional they would check the cook TV
I answered yes to many questions so maybe I can continue blogging for some time. I would love to make money but for the moment almost none made…maybe another reason to go on blogging.
Hi Mary ,
I check your blog and I think this blog have some potential to make money out it. I don’t think you will make money out of Adsense since your ads are at the very bottom of your post… This is my advice maybe you should be more practical. I’m a horrible cooker and when I go to your blog I don’t feel I will be ready to cook something after reading your blog.
Tell us how you cook… you and only you… a minute after minute details review with your good and bad shot for a recipe… Put picture video. I think that way your blog can become a real personal source and stand out !!!!
