Since my last visit you had a blogspot domain. Now you have your own domain name. What make you do that move?
Great question. Our blog was an idea that we had about two years ago. So when decided to create our vision and get a blog, we looked to google and their blogger software. We were very happy with the blog and the traffic/response. So happy we thought about moving our blog to the next step. Which was to get our own domain name and hosting. Now we have had to do things all over again, in terms of Alexa, Technorati, Spicypage and so on. We feel that the move was needed and we are happy we did.
One of the questions I receive is how you choose a blog that will be review?
1. Has to add value to the reader
2. NO Adult content. Moderate swearing is allowed.
Also, bloggers can go to your-relevant.com and request a review.
Why a beach as a header? What those glasses stand for?
The beach as a header is really just picture from my graphic design portfolio. Thought it would like nice there. The glasses logo symbolizes reading and we choose it because we thought it was simple.
Are you happy about your blog feedback? (Traffic, comment, readers…)
Could always use more traffic, but we would prefer awareness instead. Awareness of all the great blogs out there that no one knows about. Our goal is to help these blogs gain exposure. We also review well known blogs. This helps us get more traffic as well as help bloggers out. Seems to be an ongoing theme. We hope so.
What are your goals by the end of the year?
-
100 blog reviews
-
1000 visitors to the site
-
Alexa Rank of 3,000,000
-
100 Technorait Favorites
Blogger Burning questions
What you did last summer?
Spent time with my wife and four kids. Worked and blogged.
What is the last movie you saw? (Did you like it?)
The last movie that I saw was Shred the 3rd. It was a very fast movie and as a family we decided that the first was better.
Have you respected your New Year resolution?
No, haven’t been running. I still have hope though.
