I recently stumble on an article from Jeremy Shoemaker. This internet Marketer was able to earn $15,000 for sending tweets during one month on twitter.

Yes you read correctly. He sends tweets and earns $15,000. The next question is easy.

Can you do the same?

The reality is yes.

Like Jeremy Shoemaker you need at least 70K followers. However those followers must love you. They should not follow you just to follow you. You must build a relationship with those followers.

Once you have these engaging followers on twitter, you are ready to start sending sponsored tweets.

There are many networks out there. “Most popular” so far are Ad.ly and sponsoredtweets.com. ( I don’t have no relationship with those networks but I use those two because they were the one use in this example)

Get $15,000 from twitter but lose your reputation and hide yourself forever under a rock.

I highly suggest that you read this article before you send your first sponsored tweets. Otherwise your online reputation won’t be as huge as before.

Get $15,000 as a spammer or for legit business.

I’m not a huge fan of sponsored tweets because of the lack of regulation.

In e-mail marketing: you cannot send sponsored e-mail until you have a real double opt in confirmation from the user. Otherwise you are a spammer period.

I think twitter must check those ad networks because many users start to cross a line between endorsement and opinion without clear disclosure.
