Today, my brother come to me and asks what twitter is.
I said to my brother, it is a status update service where you can tell the world what you are a doing right now.
He replies, why I should do that.
At this point I start thinking and said you can read what your best celebrities is doing and reply to him.
He asks me, will they reply and I said if you are lucky yes.
I remember twitter back then when it was nothing but geek stuff, when you could ask and expect a reply almost in a second. Now it is so noisy so unstable that I think twitter lost his soul in this mess.
Everyone run to get as much followers as possible but those new followers will not care about what you say unless in a goal to get more followers themselves.
Twitter was a place to stay in contact and be close to everyone but now twitter become a huge machine that celebrities use as their new PR system or to tell the world “look I’m doing something great”.
There is no business model possible in twitter.
One of the best business models for twitter is pro account from subscription.
Now who is the main target?
- Corporation
- Celebrities
- Entrepreneur in general
- Musicians (anything around art)
The question is; will it be as constructive as an e-mail marketing system.
I thing an e-mail marketing system is much better.
In twitter, you do not really look back in the past if people do not reply to you directly.
An e-mail you make sure to empty your box as often as possible… so you tend more to open does old crappy e-mail.
The business model to twitter will be to beat great services like e-mail marketing.
Will the real time aspect of twitter will be the answer… well only if the followers are following your tweets real-time.
Conclusion
I still think that twitter is the new fashion of the moment. This is the new cool thing to do because everyone is doing it…
The way people are acting, I can simply say people need this unique platform to connect with each other where they can expect an answer to start a conversation… That is the future of internet… oh waits that is facebook …
Twitter must change or they will die because even facebook got what it takes to be more powerful.
At then end, twitter can be a niche product like Myspace….

here is how it works… boys spot girls and go after them, girls show off and choose among those who come… I’m sure you are aware of it, don’t you?
Now, how do we apply this to business?
The same two approaches exist. And both are ok, just not ok for everybody.
Being a girl, I’m more used to and feel more comfortable with an attraction marketing strategy. And to be able to attract those that will be keepers I need to be exposed to the largest amount of people possible.
Now, you are a boy (mmmmmmmmm and a hot one by the way) and as such an arrow strategy might be better for you… I mean, keep your own exposure to the minimum, spot your target relations and go after them (like you did with me…).
Both approaches are great and both work for the right personality. Makes sense?

you know? everything that starts will eventually come to an end… and you know what? it doesn’t really matter. lol
What matters is what you do meantime…
I do grow my friends’ list as much as possible (keeping the hands on approach, so far didn’t try any “toy”). But, and you know it as we played yesterday, there is space to pay attention to new friends and build relationships.
And as you see me here talking, it is just because of twitter… because today I remembered you and how much fun we had yesterday and decided to check you out.
Now, it doesn’t matter if twitter become unbearable in the short or long future… what it matters is that meantime, relationships of all kind are built.
And money is being made in business…
Hi sexy laura .. You know you are right but the only reason I contact you was that I clean up my list and check closely every person I was following… I cut the noise… More and more twitter reminds me Myspace. People got a bunch of “friends” but only care of 1/10 of this list.
You said you want to increase your list ad much as possible… Do you find great results from this action?
I agree that Twitter has some monetization opportunities, but I think it will remain around for a long while. It’s one of few social networks I’ve really seen grow rapidly among the tech set, celebrities, and everyone in between.
twitter change … spammers already take over… it reminds me myspace take over.. a race for “friends” here followers.. they lose the main point of twitter build quick and solid connection with 140 characters at a time… now they just follow to follow and gain more followers
By the way twitter grow faster because people are more tech savvy.. in 2000 no one will share picture online .. now it’s not even a big deal
