If you have a fresh new website you want to drive traffic to your website ( duhhh!!).
One of the best sources of traffic is search engine. Every time someone write a word and get to your page he have more chance to stay longer because he knows what he is looking for and your page must be the answer. (Sounds logical) All this work for me for some keywords so I guess it will help you too.
What you need?
- A blog . Better result with a blog because it is faster to promote it around the net
- Word tracker . You will need it to know how many searches your keywords do per day or week.
- Google trends best tools to know how a keywords perform during a long period.
- Google search engine . View how many results you get.
Where you start?
- Find a keyword with the less searches but a keyword that can be useful. Example: if you choose sex only… you won’t be at the top easily because this is too large and there is too much competition for this word but you can twist it. You can have a longer keyword like how to have a better sex life? If you write down this in wordtracker you will see a few searches but remember this keyword was made from sex and better sex life. Those key words have many searches so you know you can drive traffic out of them and at the same time ranked higher with this special tweak.
- Write your keyword in Google trend and see how your keyword performs years ago and how it looks in the future. If you don’t like the result you can always change your sentence.
- Do a search in Google with your keyword and watch how many results Google find. Higher are the results slower you will get to the top. A good number can be under 100,000 results.
Make it to the top faster
- Write a post about the subject here in our example how to have a better sex life. Make it useful!!!
- Put your keyword as a title and add other words like how to a better sex life during the winter in 5 steps.
- Make it like a book: example if you write a post how to a better sex life during the winter in 5 steps, this should be chapter one and write another post next week like how to have a better sex life when your man always travels. That way you will “own” the keyword and get higher faster.
- Make it useful. Being at the top can be easy the way I said it but the things it is to stay at the top so make your post useful and pleasant to read that way you will have better chance to get to the top and stay at the top
