Google make it standard
Goggle said: 2008 will be the beginning of a new era. Nobody really understand what‘s going on but since last week all the piece of the puzzle get clearer everyday.
Google Vs Facebook the war begins?
Google tries to get facebook but Microsoft put more money on the table and wins the bid. The main question was why now? Google had a plan, facebook was the hottest social network right now but most of all facebook was base on application made by random developer. This aspect was the most important thing for Google.
We all know that Orkut don’t reach nobody in United States or Canada. I sign up at Orkut but none of my friend does the same so this social network was useless.
So Orkut doesn’t really work and Google didn’t get facebook. What can Google do? They can create a standard platform for each social network that participate to his program…. Open social is born.
Open social code will be a unique platform for developer to build and create apps for many social networks at the same time… So if you are not in the club you will miss something… like facebook…. So Google will be more than just one social network but it will be a lot at the same time. So if facebook don’t join this developer community with, for example, Myspace, hi5 or bebo, sooner or later they will crash facebook….
Google will have the best mobile phone better than the Gphone
Do you think Open social was the best move of Google…take a second to think about it…NO…
Do you remember the Gphone speculation…Let me be the CEO of Google one second! Why should I build a mobile phone when you have great mobile company? The only way to go in the mobile jungle, it is to build better faster , user friendly mobile phone then the one we already have. It is possible but useless. What if I can create mobile application browser etc… for a mobile phone. By doing that I can reach every mobile phone and push a standard in the next generation of mobile phone. Android project is born !
Google strategies are clear, bringing all the developers in the “Gplex”( that’s an image) and build an internet standard.
At the end, it will be you walk with Google or you don’t walk at all. Is it a good or bad thing? Users will be the winner with great applications but the competition will be mad of course or just out of the game…..
