An old idea on a new format

I swear, I was very happy to download and test tweetglide until I start use it. The main reason I download tweetglide was for his free marketing solution. The idea to advertise for free on twitter was wonderful.

Let me tell you, this is where the dream stops. After 1 hour I realise that tweetglide is an old idea put on a new format.

Do you remember those banner exchange programs, traffic exchange programs or even those safe list programs? Do you remember those old systems from the past?

Guess what? Tweetglide is just a new format from those old systems.

What’s make it so bad?

Those systems attract advertisers only and that’s a huge problem.

Most of them will always focus to advertise. A very few will be there for fun. Therefore this tool becomes a great tool for business that helps advertisers only.

The idea was tested before with those old systems now tweetglide simply change the format for twitter.

I found a huge problem in tweetglide.

Why would I use a program that show ads all the time when you can have the same product without this restriction.

You can make money with snapdollars but it is pocket change. You need to add value to attract more money. There is one simple way to do so.

Yesterday I receive an e-mail from snapdollars. Inside that e-mail they would give me $5 for each person I refer to their website.

At this moment I start to check every person I know. I could get easily $50. I was very happy.

5 minutes later, I calm down and decide to think about it more seriously. Someone will give me $5 for each person I send to their website.

The secret on how they can give you so much by doing so little

My main question is what the catch is.

A lot of questions pop up in my mind. I decide to follow the money road.

Let’s check this out. If I give you $5, I expect to make at least $6 for a $1 profit. Sounds like a good business. More I dig in it and I realise that the profit is bigger than that.

Some offer pay $ 4.50 … after a hardcore research I find out that snapdollars can get up to $12 to that offer. Do the math, they get $12 if you sign up, and they give you $4.50 out of $12.

Now it is clear that the real business is to contact those advertisers directly.

How can you make as much money as snapdollars? Discover the real money train.

After a long search again, I find many options to contact those advertisers directly. The best way to contact those advertisers is to provide more value. In the case of snapdollars, they pay people so they can attract many people for those advertisers.

I’m happy to tell you that this is not the best way.

You can operate your own simple home business.

Example:

You can act as a local stylist. You give advice to dress correctly to go to a first date for example. You build a local community and then you can contact an advertiser and say I help x amount of people… How much you will pay if I refer someone to you.

Then you give away a new tip and highlight your suggestion of the day as a promotion for the advertiser.

It is crazy and simple. I plan to release a simple how to market local like crazy with internet.

You can make money with snapdollars but the real money is not there. You need to add value to attract more money.

First, you don’t need to panic about those new rules, unless you have no ethics and you are dishonest.

I read, of course, the new FTC rules and I read a lot of blog posts and many comments. There is a consensus. Many people go crazy over these rules in US.

I think those rules simply want to bring more transparency and ethics in marketing in US.

It is a good thing. I have several examples.

Let’s say a car reviewer:

He rent or buy a car and then review it. Chances are he will give an honest review of the product because he is a real user.

Now the same car reviewer receives a free car and the company sends him to an exotic destination to test the car. Of course, the car company pays everything.

Do you think the car reviewer’s opinion about the car will change? I think yes because when they gives you a free gift you like more the giver and you expect more from the giver in the future.

As a consumer, with a proper disclose, about this wonderful trip, you can put the review and the opinion in a better perspective.

Bottom line: disclose any conflict of interest.

Now, there is another issue about those new rules. This issue is coming from directly because of those weight loss programs or gets rich quick schemes for example.

The vendor will bring a testimonial I lose 30 lbs in 1 week. It may be true but not everyone will reach that result. Must of the time, the vendor writes results may vary.

As a consumer, the main question is what the realistic result is. In the new rules you can not pop up one hit wonder as a testimonial. If you put a number up, you must be able to back it up with scientific proof.

If you cannot bring scientific proof do not bring numbers or facts up.

I’m not a lawyer but if you stay transparent, honest and keep it ethic, you should be safe.

It is extremely hard to sell albums these days. There is a right way to promote your music online and sell tons of copies.

There are two concepts you need to keep in mind. Those two concepts are spread an idea and create a fan base.

Spread an idea: This is the most important concept. You must do what ever it takes to spread your music around. I mean what ever.

Example:

You have your masterpiece but nobody know you. Problem #1, you cannot sell it. You must give it away for free. Everyone gives away their music for free anyway. You need to be smarter than that.

You need to give them a real reason to grab your copy and listen to your music.

That’s my evil plan to reach that goal. By the way, you need money and you must believe in your music.

The plan:

Buy 1000 CDs…. Not 1001 and not 999 but 1000 CDs. This is very important.

Put 4 of your best song on it + a music video on it.

You are not finish yet. You need to write a bio and a motivation text about you.

Write every lyric of your songs.

You put everything in those 1000 CDs.

Now you need to give them a motivation to grab your CD and listen to it.

Buy a prize: like $200 shopping spree, an i-touch… whatever, it must grabs the person attention.

Distribute it by telling about your contest.

Very important, to make sure they read and listen; they must answer simple questions about your lyric and bio.

Send the answers with their contact information by e-mail. If you succeed you should receive close to 1000 e-mails.

1000 e-mails, it is nice but you need more than that to reach your success.
