Why this title?
The title is pretty strong (I know) but this is a strong rumor that begin around the blogsphere.
We all remember this huge buzz around blog rush… So big that in 48 hours the website generate thousand and thousand of new member
Where is the problem?
The main problem I guess was the fact blog rush wasn’t ready to receive thousand and thousand of new member in a very short period of time. They didn’t test their product against evil mind that see the opportunity to spread their affiliate links out there. They were so evil that they even start using bot to generate more impressions.
Blog rush system didn’t work?
Many was complaining that the blog rush don’t generate no traffic. Or the widget wasn’t customizable (like me). Ok you can change the color but just like a blog that is acceptable you can see that the widget doesn’t fit with the design:

Blogrush fix some problems but other problems came out
After all this problem Blog rush launch a new phase with many update to ensure the quality of the system.
One of this major update was to manually approve every blog. A good idea I do think to eliminate the trouble. However, 10,000 Blogs have been banned from the system by a group of reviewers said john Reese source: http://www.income.com/blog/2007/10/21/blogrush-quality-audit-complete/
More problems to come
It sound great but because there is a but… they banned johncow. I have no idea why especially when you compare john cow website with an example like http://www.jackhumphrey.com/fridaytrafficreport/. ( john Reese example)
This is the new problem that blog rush will face… you cannot ban people if you don’t elaborate a real guideline. You cannot said, we are the only judge of the quality if you haven’t name some restriction at the very beginning.
What’s make me laugh is the fact that john Reese came out on the website and tell the world I don’t know why your blog was inactive: John Reese comment
An Anti-blogrush begins
I do think John Reese didn’t calculate is move. Take off 10,000 blogs is ok but choose the right one now…. The only thing he did was… check by yourself …
When you cannot face the controversity that mean you will died slowly.
I never been a blogrush member but by what I can see , I probably made the right choice….. More to come
