Mixx is a rising star

We all know digg. For most people digg is a unique source of information. You can especially know what hot or not at a specific time.

Mixx tends to do the same thing… oh yeah a copycat. The interface is much better.

My definition of Mixx is a social media site where users recommend website based on their commons interest. They also discuss about it and build new relationship.

Now you can hear Chris McGill founder of Mixx. He will tell you his definition of Mixx.

Great feature like national and local stories from mainstream news reference like New York Times or CNN.

You can also build private and public group to share content this group may like

Even with this entire great tool Mixx still behind digg.

So digg add a new system to make sure everyone get and see the best story possible. I was waiting this tool for a long time.

Now Mixx have his new tool. You can now set your own personal social media webpage. Yes, you can have your own digg or Mixx.

It is a great move but only a few will enjoy this like mainstream news… The rest will not use it

So in the end Digg will still in front because they make sure you get the best story possible for each user.

I love Mixx but Digg is much better

Say what you will about Digg being a good product, I still can’t get passed the stereotype that it’s essentially populated by geeks who live in their parents’ basements. The “Raise a Pint with Digg” ad doesn’t help (you’ll know what I mean if you’ve seen it). I figure a mainstream competitor has to come along sooner or later, so I may be trying Mixx.
